A little guide

Set Sa with the scale list or adjust it in 1 Hz steps. Hindustani and Carnatic notes are relative to Sa; Western notes use A4 = 440 Hz.

Octaves use the same simple note name without dots. Komal notes are underlined; tivra Ma has a vertical mark. Carnatic shared pitches show both names.

Needle response adjusts smoothing from fast (50 ms) to steady (500 ms). It applies to both display styles, It is not total microphone latency. The green band is ±10 cents. A flatter history line means a steadier note. Note changes keep the last six seconds visible.
