Nishant Divate

Nishant Divate is a Hindustani classical bansuri artist, performer and guru whose musical journey is rooted in dedication, discipline and a deep love for Indian classical music.

He began learning the bansuri while pursuing Mechanical Engineering, training under the guidance of renowned flautist and vocalist Sri Harish Kulkarni of Hubballi. This formative training introduced him to both Gayaki Ang—the expressive, vocal approach to flute—and Gatkari Ang, known for its rhythmic and instrumental character.

After completing his B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from K.L.E. Institute of Technology in 2014, Nishant made a life-changing decision: he stepped away from a conventional engineering career to follow music as his profession. For more than 15 years, he has continued to refine his sound, expression and understanding of Hindustani classical music.

Nishant has performed in classical concerts across India and has also brought the bansuri to light-music and fusion performances. His flute can be heard in album recordings and background-music projects, and his versatility extends to accompanying artists on harmonium throughout Karnataka.

Through Sacred Bansi Academy, Nishant shares this experience with students in a clear and encouraging way. His teaching combines strong foundations, traditional knowledge and step-by-step guidance so that every student can grow from their first note toward confident musical expression.
